Provincial Nominee Program

Most of the provinces in Canada have an agreement with the Government of Canada which allows them to nominate immigrants who wish to settle in that province. Persons wishing to immigrate to Canada as a provincial nominee must first apply to the province where they want to settle and complete the provincial nomination process. The province will consider application based on its immigration needs and the genuine intention of the applicant to settle there.

The criteria for provincial nomination are determined by the individual provinces and territories, they can change without notice.

The persons who wish to immigrate to Canada under the Provincial Nominee Program must have a job offer from an employer in the province, the skills, education and work experience needed to make an immediate economic contribution to the province or territory that nominates them. The persons wishing to apply under business immigration as an Entrepreneur don't need any job offer as the criteria is different for applying under PNP program.
